The 6th annual 5X Fest, a celebration of South Asian youth culture, took place from June 11th-18th in Surrey and Vancouver, BC. Uniting elements of storytelling, music, and art, the festival provided a joyful exploration of shared heritage. The event was proudly hosted on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaʔɬ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. Gratitude was extended to various partners, supporters, and funders, including The Government of Canada, Canada Council for the Arts, The Province of BC, BC Arts Council, BCTC, Creative BC, City of Vancouver, and City of Surrey, who played vital roles in making the 5X vision a reality.
